Coastal Service Finder

Privacy

How Coastal Service Finder handles information about you, under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Searching

We keep a record of searches (the words, filters and number of results) to improve the directory. It does not include your IP address or anything else that identifies you.

If you use "Use my location", your position is sent once to find the nearest suburb. It is not stored, logged or shared.

On your device

Your saved list and recent searches are kept in your browser on this device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Reports

If you report a problem, we use the name, email or phone number you give only to follow up on that report. We never show them on the directory.

Professional sign in

When professionals sign in, we keep their email address and a sign-in cookie that ends when they sign out or the session expires. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Maps and directions

Maps are served by this directory, not a map company. Directions open Google Maps only when you choose them.

Questions or corrections

To ask about or correct information we hold about you, contact the directory team through the report form.
